Raoul Luescher
The director of Luescher Teknik, Raoul Luescher has a long history in elite sport and sports engineering. He has competed at international level in Rowing as well as national level in a range of other sports including cycling, XC skiing, multisport and running since retiring from rowing so he knows the demands of competition.
Raoul has also been involved with composite materials for almost 20 years. He has been employed by Boeing Aerospace, Defence and the Australian Institute of Sport. He has extensive experience in quality control of composites, manufacturing and design. Raoul has designed and built many composite items, including items used in the olympic games. He has worked with national, olympic and professional athletes in a technology and equipment advisor role and is passionate about sports performance.

Emy Huntsman
Emy undertook a rowing scholarship at the University of Miami in Florida, USA. There she completed a degree in exercise physiology with minors in sports administration and leadership. Emy then
began an Honours degree in exercise and sport science at Deakin University after returning to Melbourne.
Emy's honours project involved the preseason predictors of injury in elite Australian Rules football players and developed a predictive formula to assess the risk of sustaining an injury during the season. During this time, Emy also represented Australia at the World University Rowing Championships.
Currently Emy is pursuing her rowing and also dabbling in some track and road cycling. Her current projects with Luescher Teknik involve new designs for rowing seats to provide improved performance, as well as research into one-legged cycling for rehabilitation and conditioning.
Emy's passion in exercise and sport science lies with the pursuit of performance. Her interest in working with Luescher Teknik is to make the good better, fitter and faster through effective use of research, equipment and technology.
